Husband can not get erection after prostate surgery?

  2. I don’t know what kind of surgery he had exactly, it really depends on that to a great extent. For example, a total prostatectomy always comes with some erection issues. In many cases, the patient is completely unable to get an erection and sustain it. This can only last a few months or a year, but in some cases it’s permanent. Of course, it also depends on the surgeon and the techniques he or she is using. There are certain nerve-sparing techniques that are used in some clinics, that preserve a lot of the normal penis functioning, including erection and orgasming. That being said, again, I don’t have enough details on your husband’s exact problem and the type of procedure he’s had, so it’s probably best you talk to his surgeon or his doctor and see what can be done.
